A photo is read for you, but never trusted blind
The fast version of receipt scanning writes whatever a vision model reads straight onto the project as final. That is also how a smudged total or a misread decimal point becomes a number somebody relies on for payroll or taxes without anyone having looked at it.
So a reading from a photo is presented as an expense you can see and correct, with the photo kept attached either way. The cost is a glance at what it extracted before it is fully trusted — the same trade this product makes everywhere else money is involved.
What this does not do
- No sync to a general ledger or accounting package. This prices a job; it does not do your books.
- No automatic repricing of future quotes off a thin margin. A person still decides what to charge next time.
- No mileage or vehicle tracking — an expense is something bought, not a trip taken.

Does it read every receipt correctly?
A connected assistant’s reading is a best effort against a photo, presented for you to confirm rather than written straight to the record — the same reason a follow-up message waits for approval before anything reaches a customer.
Can my crew log an expense without coming back to the office?
